Our first session at Armley Helping Hands got off to a great start with some leaf and feather mono prints and some hammering of leaves to create fabric hapa zome prints!

Rebecca Machin, curator of natural science from Leeds Museums started us off, looking at some amazing habitats made by birds, sea-life and spiders!  We shared our favourite animals, which included dogs, owls, squirrels, a lovebird and cheetahs!  Followed by the hands on messy stuff!

Looking forward to our visit to the ‘Beavers to Weavers’ exhibition at Leeds City Museum next week, where we’ll start to develop our ideas around ‘collecting’ and ‘home’.
