A Room in Leeds

A Room in Leeds’ is an art project exploring the emotions, energy and memories held within objects shared by participants.
A ‘Room’ will be constructed in Skippko’s ‘Venue 50’, Barkston House, Holbeck.
The ‘Room’ will grow as memories are shared, art works are created, and stories are told.
Participants will use a range of creative media such as printmaking, photography, drawing, textiles and clay.
The artefacts will be housed within the room, on walls, shelves, tables etc. depending on what is created.
We don’t know which objects participants will bring, but we do know that the object will carry meaning and memories that will be precious to the owner.
Following creative making sessions participants will work with Director Anthony Haddon to devise a performance piece, telling the objects stories. Look out for performance details July 24.
