Blank Canvas is a long standing and successful programme operated by Skippko.

Skippko secure leases on temporarily vacant retail and commercial property to create arts and community hubs; the process is commonly known as ‘meanwhile use’. Within this programme we presently hold a mixed property portfolio including a 10,000 sq ft warehouse on Whitehall Road, Leeds (where we’re creating an illuminated model of the local area); a 15,000 sq ft set of offices in Lower Wortley, Leeds; 19,000 sq ft offices in York housing a community radio station, film set and artist studios as well as smaller units forming artist in residence hubs in Bradford and York and soon-opening in Huddersfield, Hull, Carlisle and Liverpool.

Spaces can be used for a variety of purposes for instance; studios, exhibitions, performances, rehearsals, workshops, meetings, artists’ residencies, events and project bases.
