Camera-arderie
The Camera-arderie group (The Cams) initially formed after meeting each other during a Skippko photography project and are now going from strength to strength, organising their own photography opportunities, sharing knowledge and supporting each other through the friendships that have been forme
Group members supported our ‘Studio 42’ photography project through mentoring new participants and sharing the knowledge and skills they’ve gained both working with Skippko artists Nicki and Sally and through developing their own photography practice.
A Room in Leeds
During 2023/24 the Cams took part in Skippko’s ‘A Room in Leeds’ project exploring objects through the lens to produce some wonderful photographs, which became stained glass windows and concertina artworks as part of our exhibition and performance event ‘Abundance’ at Leeds Carriageworks Theatre.

Studio 42, technical Challenge Two – Machinery – Sept 22
For this challenge we met at Armley Mills where we asked the group to shoot in black and white. This challenge is all about light, contrast, tone and shape – composition all the way with no distraction of colour!
Here’s a selection of the photographs taken that emphasize the wonderful shapes and angles the group found whilst exploring the theme of machinery.

The theme for Brief 2 is Machinery and we launched this brief with a photoshoot at the fantastic Armley Mills! We asked the group to create 3 photos of ‘Machinery’.
As ever looking, exploring and composition is at the heart of this brief – and here is a selection of the amazing photos the group have taken.
