Tree of Hope
We are working in partnership with Halton Moor & Osmondthorpe Project for Elders (HOPE) to create a ‘Tree of Hope’ reflecting on lockdown life.
Project members, from HOPE’s busy craft group, have come up with a fantastic idea to create a community artwork based on an Oak Tree – HOPE’s logo.
The first stage of the project saw members of the local community of all ages making hand crafted leaves to form the foliage of the tree, including their reflections on lockdown ‘what can society learn from the experience’… ‘what or who has helped you through lockdown’… ‘something special you’ve noticed during lockdown’ etc ……
The second stage of the project brought members of HOPE together to create a large 3D tree employing a range of creative techniques – feltmaking, stitching and modelling.
