I’ve  been a trustee for 12 years, although my involvement  goes back further than that, since the Neighbourhood Network for older people that I was working for was involved with Skippko’s ‘Retired But Not Shy’ project.

That project gave me the opportunity to experience Skippko’s way of working with groups, bringing out their creativity, bringing them together around common interests and experiences and challenging them to perhaps think or experience in other ways.

I’ve been involved with the voluntary sector in Leeds for about 30 years – as long as  Skippko and I hope that I’ve been able to contribute some of that experience and local knowledge to the role of trustee – as well as gaining the benefit of seeing the difference that Skippko make in communities across the area.
