Seacroft Forest Garden visit
08/06/26
‘Under the Canopy’ group had a wonderful time at Seacroft Forest Garden and didn’t let the weather, which ranged from hail stones to brilliant sunshine, put them off!
We had a great session! Everyone was really impressed with the garden. We made some origami jumping frogs and also some polymer clay ones, sang ‘Froggy Would A-wooing Go’, had a frog jumping contest, listened to a frog themed story and hummed along to the Frog Chorus by Paul McCartney and blew some bubbles.

“A Robin met us as soon as we arrived. We had all weathers in one hour. It was hail stoning whilst we sat under the new shelter. Had great fun blowing bubbles over our handmade frogs. Beautiful site thanks for organising our trip. Loved it. Thanks Jackie.”

We also received our copies of ‘Under the Canopy’ book, documenting this wonderful project over the last 4 years.

And in other Under the Canopy news, some of our hand painted bugs have been travelling the world –
London, China, Hong Kong, Japan then onto Brooklyn, New York where they currently reside!
