Under the Canopy, in the Roundhouse
01/02/24
The lovely Roundhouse at Hollybush Conservation Centre is providing a cosy space for us to meet for this terms ‘Under the Canopy’.
We’ve started by planting bulbs and decorating plant pots, followed by some drypoint printmaking using Tetrapaks, and some papermaking with natural materials.
We’ve also enjoyed some fabulous stories and singing with Matthew and some folk songs sung by Abi, one of our participants.
And not forgetting some poetry. Here’s a lovely reflection after printmaking by Peter…
It does not flow
Like pencil
pen sharpie brush
A patience.
a beauty sought.
A new resistance
Between sharp needle point
a tetrapak re-purposed
to create.
Through printed craft
with cloths
with cotton buds.
Layered up singing
for the paper press
of verdant spring
Produced emergent
sending off
with saffron songs.
And some amazing paper making including these from Pat and Joy
