We held a consultation session in January to ask our Community Research Team, what they would like to do next?

One of the activities to generate information came from some ‘blind’ poetry – taking random words from book pages to create a poem, based on what people feel about the Research Team.

Here’s some fantastic responses…

Voice – be able to talk and listen to people

Reason – I enjoy coming to skippko it gives me a reason to get out of the house

project – I enjoy planning the projects we do

Work – we all work together

Studied – enjoy the library work studying books etc.

I’ll do this again – definitely

Confidently – I have gained a lot of confidence since I started coming to skippko

Reason – I decide which projects I want to participate in

I’ll show you – always someone to help and guide me

We’ll do it together – If I struggle

Wonderful – I have met wonderful people here

Discuss – Enjoy discussing and chatting with people

Magic

Grateful

Lifted

Rest

Revealing

Remembered

Light

Windows

Lovely

Different

Time

A few hours of magic

It’s a few hours of magic

A time I am grateful for

Lifted for a while out of the day to day.

Give cares and worries a rest.

For a couple of hours,

Lost and forgotten things remembered once more

The sweet taste of nostalgia

Like a soft warm light shining through the windows of the past

How our lives have changed

Things were so different not so long ago

Were things better then? I don’t know.

Glad    To say    Something     Positive

Liked   How much   you think    in you    is

Natural    for you    which will     change

What     moved along    so could turn

And see    are you    coming out    had been in

Searching     wondering     so much

I was     I had     looking for      out of my

Compose myself     what you think     looking

Come with me – I’m ready

Friends can refresh your memory

You have any ideas?

The place is hopping

So generous with you time and knowledge

I’m impressed – “beautiful”  “gorgeous”

See you both there.

Deborah
