‘Studio 42’ is a year-long digital photography project running through 2022, open to all Carers in Leeds who are interested in getting creative with their camera, or who have never picked up a camera before and fancy trying something new…

Here’s a small selection of the photographs taken so far…

The project is taking place both online using zoom, plus face-to-face sessions in Skippko’s new venue in Holbeck, or in outdoor spaces as we venture out with our camera’s.

Fifteen carers are being supported by Skippko artists Sally and Nicki, to get the best from their camera, be creative, and explore their personal interests, alongside setting inspiring ‘briefs’ and ‘technical challenges’.

“The constructive feedback from Nicki & Sally is always welcome, and they’re so positive and cheerful.”

The project will have an emphasis on sharing skills and ideas, time for self, reducing stress and being connected to other people.

The project will culminate in a fantastic exhibition and publication, curated by participants with the support of Nicki and Sally, plus the wonderful Camera-arderie group https://skippko.org.uk/our_work/camera-arderie/
